Y10 Art and Textiles students recently visited the Tate Modern, in London, to explore the themes from their current coursework project entitled ‘I Me Mine’. Students viewed a wide range of artwork from painting to sculpture and even had the opportunity to see Louise Bourgeois’ Maman (pictured) which has returned to the Tate for their 25th anniversary.
During their visit students were encouraged to take photos of artwork which they felt could inform their current project and were inspired by the breadth of different materials and techniques on show. Many came away with a fresh approach to their own ideas and we look forward to seeing how these develop into final pieces.
