‘Anything Goes’ (Beaumont Edition)
The cast and orchestra of Prince Henry’s High School are busy rehearsing for this year’s school musical, the Cole Porter classic, ‘Anything Goes.’ at the Evesham Arts Centre March 19th – 22nd 2014. Set to Porter’s wonderful songs such as ‘Easy to Love,’ You’re the Top’, ‘Blow Gabriel Blow’ as well as the title tune of the show, ‘Anything Goes,’ it looks to be a wonderful night of dance, song and comedy.
Billy Crocker has managed to sneak onto the ship the S.S American, sailing from New York to England. He is in pursuit of his long lost love, the American debutante Hope Harcourt who is engaged to the English aristocrat, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Just to make matters even more complicated, Reno Sweeney is on board who thinks that she is in love with Billy! The gangster Moonface Martin, (better known as Public Enemy Number 13), has also managed to stow himself on the ship with his moll, Erma. With disguises, misunderstandings and of course, the superb music of Cole Porter, tickets are going fast!
Director and Producer Maxine Cook says that the pupils are having a really great time working on the show as the script is so funny and Phill Bullas, Musical Director, is enjoying teaching the wonderful music to cast/soloists and band members alike.

Adult tickets will be £9.00 (Wednesday) £10.00 (Thursday) £11.00 (Friday) and £12.50 on Saturday
School children will be £7.00 (Wednesday) £8.00 (Thursday) £9.00 (Friday) and £10.00 on Saturday.
* We would like the Saturday performance to be a special occasion. We therefore encourage the audience to use the event as an excuse to dress up especially smartly, with Black Tie and evening dress as an option for those who consider it appropriate. The Saturday ticket price entitles you to a free glass of wine or soft drink before the show.
You should return the Booking Form below together with the correct money. (Cheques should be made payable to Prince Henry’s High School). Tickets cannot be obtained directly from School Reception.
