Anything Goes – ‘Extraordinarily Good’

What an amazing night! ‘Anything Goes’ was extraordinarily good – even by the exceptionally high standards that one comes to expect from PHHS performances. There are so many things to praise to the ceilings – the enthusiasm of every single member of the cast and orchestra, the sheer talent (wow, Georgia!), the wonderful humour, the commitment of all involved. The staff are incredible in the way they contribute so much of their time, energy, skill, passion and dedication to the students – Mr Bullas and Mrs Cook, of course, but also those who make, or move, or play, or sell, or cover.

But I think what almost impressed me most was the way that previous ‘stars’ were enthusiastic members of the chorus, and lesser known faces were the stars. This says something really important about the young people themselves, and about the school’s ethos.
