BEST EVER A-LEVEL RESULTS 2016

We have seen another set of outstanding results at both A and AS level.

At A-Level, our overall pass rate was 100%.  We are delighted that over 26% of the grades were A*-A; 57% were A*-B and 82% were A*-C.  Our Average Points Score per student is our highest ever at 906 and the Average Points Score per entry is also our best ever, standing at 217. Another impressive score to mention is that 8% of all our grades were at A* at A-Level.

The top performer with an amazing 4 A* grades at A-Level was Joseph Sandham.

There are very many more success stories, too numerous to mention here, with many students reaching their personal targets.  We are delighted that the vast majority of our students have achieved their first choice places at University.

At AS level, the students overall have made excellent progress, and they have placed themselves in a very strong position for next year.

Headteacher Dr Evans commented “Congratulations to all the students.  My staff and I are delighted with the performances that we have seen this year.  These are truly stunning achievements and are a testament to the hard work of the students, their parents and the teachers who have supported them. We are looking forward to the AS students returning in September to build upon their successes, and we wish our Year 13 students every success with their future careers”.

Head of Sixth Form Mrs Webb said “I am delighted that the students have been rewarded for all their hard work and passion for their subjects.  It has been a pleasure working with them over the last two years and I wish them every success in the next stage of their lives”.
