Prince Henry’s High School celebrates £1.9m award to improve buildings

Prince Henry’s High School is celebrating the news that we have been awarded over £1.9 million from the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund for 2014-15 to rebuild our Modern Foreign Languages Block.  This project will enable us to provide 12 purpose-built state of the art classrooms, enhanced office space, a new ICT server room, a redeveloped new front entrance and a large open space foyer. As part of the development, we will also be improving the front driveway and walkways around the school.  Headteacher Dr Tony Evans said “The new building will allow our students to learn in an environment they truly deserve and will serve for many generations to come. I would like to express my appreciation to my Senior Team and Governing Body for their vision and support with this project. In particular I would like to mention my Business Manager, Zoé Smith, for her work in preparing our funding bid.  I am also grateful to Sir Peter Luff MP for his support with our Capital Maintenance application.”
