A Level Results Day (2019)

Prince Henry’s Sixth Form students are celebrating after achieving impressive results at A-level. 170 students completed their A-Level courses at Prince Henry’s and the vast majority have gained places at their chosen Universities.

The top performers were Benjamin Hughes and Eleanor Tarring both of whom achieved A*AAC, Georgia Dyde who achieved A*A*A, and congratulations to Eloise Hedgecott for gaining a place to study Biology at Oxford.  The following students all achieved three A/A* grades:

Charlotte Brush
Aidan Dyde
Georgia Dyde
Eloise Hedgecott
Benjamin Hughes
Hannah Pitchforth
Zoe Taite
Eleanor Tarring
Sarah Willmott
Isabelle Wood
Katie Wood

The Average Point Score per A-Level entry currently stands at 32.3, which is slightly higher than last year.  16% of the grades were A*-A; 42% were A*-B;  75% were A*-C and 90% were A*-D.  Our overall pass rate was 98%.  There are very many more success stories, too numerous to mention here, with most students reaching or exceeding their personal targets.

Headteacher Dr Evans commented “Congratulations to all the students.  My staff and I are delighted with the performances that we have seen this year reflecting the hard work of the students, their parents and the teachers here at Prince Henry’s who have supported them.  We wish all our Year 13 students every success with their future careers.  They have been a lovely year group and we are all very proud of them”

Head of Sixth Form Mrs Webb said “I am delighted that the students have been rewarded for all their hard work and commitment with these pleasing results.  It has been a pleasure working with them over the last two years and I wish them every success in the next stage of their lives”.
