It’s been a busy week in PE with House matches, Games Day & Sports Day all taking place.

We have also had three significant cricket events during the week.

On Monday our Girl’s u15 cricket team were representing Worcestershire in the Midlands regional finals at Loughborough. They performed well throughout and ended up in 6th place.

The boy’s u15 team also had the privilege of representing the County at the Midlands finals at Edgbaston on Thursday. After a magnificent team effort and beating the County champions from Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Greater Birmingham, Staffordshire and Shropshire they were crowned Midlands champions!

On Thursday our 1st XI cricket team played the MCC at Pershore CC. In a memorable game of cricket we were bowled out with one ball remaining and needing one run to win. The result of a tie is remarkable for a state school team considering The MCC team consists of experienced adult cricketers who all play a high level of club cricket. Special mention must go to Robbie Hardwick and George Burford who both scored half centuries.
