GDPR: Letter to Parents

On 25th May 2018 the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force, bringing with it improvements to the current data protection regulations. Under GDPR, the school still has a statutory responsibility to gather and process certain data about our students. More details on this are given in the Privacy Notice for Students, which can be viewed on the school website.

You will have seen from our website, prospectus, Henrician and local newspaper coverage that we are very proud of our students and we celebrate and illustrate their success stories through photography and video. We would like to continue celebrating the achievements of our students in these ways after 25th May and so, to accommodate the change in the law, we are seeking your active consent to do so.

We have already had an overwhelmingly supportive response to this from our new cohort of Year 9 students who will join us in September, allowing us to feature their successes immediately. By gaining consent for our existing students, we will also be able to continue to do this for them as well.
