SPORTS MARK GOLD FOR THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
We were delighted to receive the news that, for the sixth consecutive year, Prince Henry’s has been awarded the Sports Mark Gold accreditation in recognition of the PE Department’s continuing commitment to extra-curricular activities, inter-school sport and intra-school competitions. The award also reflects the commitment of our staff and students’ commitments to sports, volunteering and leadership.
Mrs Thorner said “’We are very much looking forward to another successful year where Prince Henry’s students consistently engage in extra-curricular activities. This award demonstrates the ongoing commitment and dedication of our students to participate in a variety of sports and activities whether that is as a performer, official or organiser.”
Dr Evans, Headteacher commented “It is wonderful to hear that the commitment to sport by students across all year groups and in a broad range of activities has been recognised for a sixth consecutive year. I would like to thank the PE staff –particularly Mrs Thorner, who co-ordinates our Sports Mark programme – for their hard work and dedication, particularly in support of our wide-ranging extra-curricular sporting programme. Congratulation to the students and staff who have made this remarkable achievement possible.”
