SPEECH DAY AND END OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS
Our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving will be held on Friday, 7th July 2017, when our Guest Speaker will be Lord Faulkner of Worcester.
I am pleased to say that a significant number of students will be receiving prizes this year and these students and their parents will have already been informed. As a recognition that it is the end of their career at Prince Henry’s, the majority of these prizes are for Year 11 and Sixth Form students. For those pupils not receiving prizes there will be no school on Friday, 7th July 2017, except for some of our Senior Prefects. Prize winners from Years 9, 10 and 12 will be required to attend in the morning as well as being present at the prize giving ceremony. The school bus service will operate, but it may be that some changes will be made to the usual schedule due to the reduced number of students who will be requiring bus transport on the day. If bus arrangements are to be amended, any students affected will be notified nearer to the day. A cold lunch will be available on Speech Day for prize winners, but this must be pre-ordered before 7th July.
Please also note that on the last day of term, Friday 21st July, school will be closing at 12.45pm and the necessary arrangements have been made with bus companies to collect students from school at this earlier time.
I look forward to seeing the parents of prize winners at Speech Day.
