STEM Day 2017

On Thursday 26th January 2017, Prince Henry’s students were joined with students from John Masefield High School for a day of inspiring talks relating to STEM careers. Talks were given by Newcastle University about university life and the different pathways available to them, followed by ex-student and Head Boy, Harry Organ from KPMG with information about their student leaver programme. GCHQ and QinetiQ gave keynotes about STEM apprenticeships and Mr A Duffy, Director of SCITT at Prince Henry’s gave a presentation about teaching STEM subjects and how to ‘get into teaching’.

Ms D Martin commented,
“It was a fabulous day where students were able to obtain further information about STEM careers and options available to them after Sixth Form. I’m very grateful to all the keynote speakers that joined us for the day. The information and guidance they provided was invaluable.”
